Vladimir Zhilin was born in 1951 in Moscow. In 1970 he graduated with honors from the department of jewelers of the Moscow School of Arts and Crafts and in 1975 came to work in the Gokhran of the USSR. His works include the Jubilee Necklace and the Flower Fantasy Brooch-Bandeau created in the best traditions of old masters. His restoration of the Big Bouquet from the collection of historical jewelry of the Diamond Fund is considered unique. Thanks to his work, the Scepter with the Orlov diamond, the Diadem-Bandeau with bees, the setting of a historical chrysolite in a pendant were restored.
